Day 3:

Paris - Netherlands

  • Today it's on to Brussels.
  • On arrival a walking orientation tour takes you to the magnificent Gothic St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral. Then via Galeries Saint Hubert - the world's first shopping mall, opened in 1847, to the Grand Place, Europe's most beautiful square. This exquisite market square is the main tourist attraction of the city.
  • Time permitting, shop here for world famous Belgian lace, chocolate and Belgian Waffles dusted with caramelized sugar. Mmmm!
  • Visit the Manneken Pis, (photo stop) - the cheeky statue of a boy, representing the "irreverent spirit" of Brussels, which has drawn sightseers for centuries.
  • The Atomium is a landmark building in Brussels and was constructed for the first post-war universal world exhibition (EXPO 58). The nine spheres represent an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. They represent the faith one had in the power of science and moreover in nuclear power. It is located on the Heysel Plateau, where the exhibition took place. It is now a museum.
  • The Atomium is today the most popular tourist attraction of Europe's Capital. Stop for a photostop at the Atomium.
  • Later, continue your drive to your hotel in Netherlands and check-in.
  • Overnight in Netherlands.

Day 4:

Netherlands

  • Drive through Dutch countryside. we head to the capital to keep up with our Amsterdam schedule making yet another pit stop at the famous Cheese Farm & Clog Shoe Factory to learn about the art of traditional cheese-making and also of the famous Dutch clogs.
  • Thereafter, we drive along the scenic scenes of Netherlands to arrive in Amsterdam. We begin our Amsterdam tour with the busiest town centre, the Dam Square or simply The Dam.
  • From memorable monuments and statues to souvenir shops and restaurants to that of scores of pigeons and buskers, The Dam is a true reflection of the city's character because Amsterdam is nothing without its spectacular canal circuit, we then get on a glass-topped cruise to navigate through this picturesque town with its regal mansions and houseboats and bridges via its impressive canal ring, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage site in itself.
  • A cruise on this canal ring somehow makes everything about Amsterdam even more surreal.
  • Return to your hotel.
  • Overnight in Netherlands.

Day 5:

Netherlands - Rhineland

  • Today we proceed on a scenic drive to Cologne, the metropolis on River Rhine, where on arrival you will visit the Cathedral - the first Gothic Church in the Rhineland with its characteristic spires.

  • This morning an enjoyable drive through the Black Forest to arrive at Drubba - the alpine nest of the Cuckoo Clock situated in the unique Hollental (Hell's Valley), directly at the mouth of the Ravennaschult (Ravenna Glen).
  • Witness a demonstration to explain the making of authentic cuckoo clocks in their original form, each piece carefully crafted for precision! The Cuckoo Clock is said to have originated between 1740 and 1750 and has remained more or less unchanged in its unique design. A visit here is a memorable experience.
  • Next enjoy a comfortable drive to the scenic splendour of Chamonix Mont Blanc. It's 'Love at first sight' as you enter the beautiful Chamonix Valley and the majestic mountains of the Mont Blanc range.
  • Arrive and check into your hotel.
  • Overnight in Chamonix.

  • The more fearless will take A STEP INTO THE VOID, onto a 2.50 m glass cage out over a 1000 m precipice. A product of modern architectural and technical prowess and a sensation packed experience The Aiguille du Midi has its own postage stamp and a letterbox!
  • Continue your excursion with a ride on the nostalgic red cog railway to Montenvers. The train climbs a steep track, through scenic Alpine scenery, to a stunning vantage point above the 'Mer de Glace' (sea of ice) Glacier.
  • You know you've really arrived when you stand at 1913 meters, at the 'Mer de Glace', which is 7 kms long and 200 meters thick, with a surface dimension of 40 kms!
  • A crystal gallery, a wildlife exhibition, an ice garden and the famous ice grotto 100 meters long, carved each year into the heart of the glacier, awaits you!
