Hi, it's Manas Khan here. I recently did Everest Base Camp trek with Trip 360 / Cox and Kings . We reached EBC on 13th May 2018. It has been an awesome experience. They provided all the support to make it successful. A big thanks to Mr. Jangbou Sherpa and his team for everything

Day 1:

Arrival at Tel Aviv - Kibbutz Sha'ar HaGolan

  • Welcome to the wondrous land of Israel.
  • A Trip360 representative will be waiting for you at the Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport.
  • After assisting you with your luggage, they will guide you to the air-conditioned bus that will take you forward.
  • You will drive north, past picturesque scenery, towards to the Sea of Galilee.
  • Here, you will enjoy your first taste of life in Israel at the Kibbutz Sha'ar HaGolan. This historic little settlement was founded as early as 1937, and the members accidentally uncovered a prehistoric site here in the 1940s.
  • A Kibbutz member will take you for a tour around the settlement, and you will be introduced to the people who live here and continue to enjoy the communal way of life that Israel is known for.
  • After a sumptuous dinner on the premises, you will be taken to the Sha'ar HaGolan Guest House where you will be spending the night.
  • You would want to get a good night's rest for the amazing Israel hiking trail that awaits you tomorrow.

Day 2:

Kibbutz Sha'ar HaGolan

  • You wake up to a spectacular breakfast, and once you make sure you have what you need, we will drive north to really kick-start our Israel adventure tour.
  • As we cross the Jordan River, you will be completely mesmerised by the spectacular scenery all around.
  • On arrival at Golan Heights, we will start our first Israel trekking journey.
  • Slowly but surely, we will make our way to the lower Zavitan Stream - one of the most exciting water trails in the Golan area.
  • Our trail starts in the Yehudia Highlands, and we will follow the path of the stream, admiring the many waterfalls that gush over the basalt rocks.
  • The trail ascends and descends intermittently, and eventually takes us to the lower part of the stream, which is surrounded by pools, trees, and an aqueduct. Here, we will cool down with a refreshing dip in the Meshushim Pool.
  • After a spectacular lunch, we will continue exploring the Golan Heights area.
  • We will make our way to Mount Bental, an old crater from an extinct volcano. At a height of 1,171 metres, from here we can drink in unparalleled views not only of Israel and Gallilee, but also of Syria, which is just across the border.
  • You can also lock your gaze on Lebanon, the United Nation posts in the area, the Druze villages, the local Kibbutzim, the abandoned town of Quneitra, and the new road that leads to Damascus.
  • After spending the better half of the day hiking in Israel, we will wind down at the Ramat HaGolan Winery. This is the very winery that ensured Israel found a prominent spot on the wine map of the world.
  • We will visit the winery's Visitors' Centre, which will give us an overview of the entire wine production process, followed by some wine tasting.
  • As the sun sets on a remarkable day, we head back to our beds at Sha'ar HaGolan Guest House.

Day 3:

Kibbutz Sha'ar HaGolan - Almog

  • Today, we will enjoy some leisurely sightseeing at a few of Israel's well-known hotspots.
  • After a satisfying breakfast, we will make our way to the Agamon Hula Ornithology and Nature Park. This little slice of paradise can be found right in the middle of the Hula Valley and is surrounded by majestic mountain ranges on all sides.
  • We will take a guided tour through the park in a special, tractor-drawn safari wagon, which will give us the unique opportunity to get as close as possible to the flocks of cranes as they flutter by.
  • As we circle round the tranquil lake that lies at the heart of this park, we will have the chance to marvel at the migrating, nesting and courting birds all around us.
  • Our tour takes a bit of a spiritual turn as we drive on to the Sea of Galilee to visit some popular sites related to the birth of Christianity.
  • We will stop at the historic fishing village of Capernaum. Although fairly deserted today, this town was once a bustling centre.
  • Next, we will visit the modern church that sits atop the Mount of Beatitudes. Known as the location from where Jesus delivered his well-known Sermon on the Mount, the church has an octagonal floor plan, with the eight sides meant to represent the eight beatitudes.
  • We journey onwards, along the Jordan River, moving south towards the Dead Sea. We will stop just shy of our destination and settle down for the night at the Kibbutz Almog Guest House. Surrounded by sand, this Kibbutz can be found in the Judean Desert, which lies in the Jericho Valley.

Day 4:

Almog - Mashabei Sadeh

  • As always, a delectable breakfast spread will greet you in the morning.
  • Once you have had your fill, it's time to put on those hiking boots, as we have quite the Israel adventure waiting for us.
  • A short drive along the Dead Sea will take us to the starting point of one of the most sought after Israel hiking trails.
  • Today, we will be conquering the Shvil HaRatz trail as we make our way to the Masada Fortress.
  • After we walk the Roman Path, we will be greeted by the imposing Masada Fortress.
  • Instead of walking all the way down, we will enjoy a beautiful cable car ride that will take us back to our transport.
  • We then drive on to the beautiful Dead Sea beach. Here, we will float on the waters of this salty lake.
  • We will break here to relax on the water and allow Mother Nature to work her healing properties on our tired bodies.
  • After a soothing soak, we will head to the changing rooms to dry off, and then sip on a few refreshments.
  • Before we leave the Dead Sea, we will stop by their Cosmetics Visitors' Centre for a tour.
  • From here, you can buy skin care products that are famous all over the world. With the healing properties of the mud and minerals found in the water here, these products can help stimulate circulation in your skin cells, while also improving metabolism and helping in cell repair.
  • With our hearts full and our pockets considerably lighter, we will continue our journey south, towards the Negev Desert.
  • On reaching our destination, we will unwind at our rooms in the Kibbutz Mashabei Sadeh.
  • After such an exhilarating day, we are sure you will enjoy a peaceful night.

Day 5:

Mashabei Sadeh - Makhtesh Desert

  • We will wake up at the crack of dawn to relish our delightful breakfast.
  • Then, it's time to journey towards Kibbutz Sde Boker. Our short drive takes us straight to our destination, from where we will pick up mountain bikes - our mode of transport for the morning.
  • We will get on our saddles and prepare to cycle down the Tree Biking Trail - possibly the best way to explore the vast expanse of the desert.
  • The trail starts at the Haroah Recreational Area, which is quite close to Sde Boker. We cycle towards the north-west, along the gurgling Nahal Haroah River.
  • To enjoy spectacular views of the Halukim range, we follow the trail as it loops around. Along our journey, we will also marvel at the ancient tree that stands firmly at Nahal Noked.
  • We climb aboard our bus and rest our legs on the drive over to the Ein Avdat National Park Oasis. One of Israel's most striking sites, this oasis is fed by the spring that has carved a canyon for itself through the rock.
  • Watch the gorgeous falls as they gush down to the awaiting 8 metre deep pool that serves as a source of drinking water for the many ibex that wander through the desert.
  • Feeling thoroughly refreshed, we board our bus once again, for a short drive that takes us south, to the Mitzpe Ramon.
  • Tonight, we gather around a warm campfire for dinner, and marvel at the beauty all around us as we settle down in our tents for the night.

Day 6:

Makhtesh Desert - Jerusalem

  • The fresh desert air will wake you up to a glorious morning in the crater.
  • After enjoying a truly delicious breakfast, we will prepare ourselves for another Israel trekking experience.
  • From our starting point, inside the Ramon Makhtesh or crater, we have access to a number of winding trails.
  • A short drive will take us to the Ein Saharonim spring, our starting point for today's trek.
  • As we continue along the Nekarot, or horseshoe trail, we will hike up along a melange of multi-coloured sandstone - a unique geographical feature that people from all over the world come to enjoy in this crater, volcanic rocks, and fossils.
  • We will leave the Ramon Crater and its beautiful sights behind as we drive through the gorgeous white limestone of the Nekarot Canyon.
  • We will arrive at the alluring town of Jerusalem by late afternoon. After we check in to our accommodation for the night, you will be free to enjoy the evening any way you wish.
  • You can indulge in a warm bath to relax your weary muscles, or head out for a spectacular first night in this amazing city.
  • You can choose to make your way to the quaint neighbourhood of Nahalat Shiv'a, which is known for its numerous restaurants, pubs and bars, or, if you have food on your mind, try some of the delicious treats that the locals whip up on the street.

Day 7:

Marvelling at the many Wonders of Jerusalem

  • Once we have tucked into a brilliant breakfast spread, we will climb aboard our transport for a short drive to the Mount of Olives.
  • From the top of this peak, which makes up the mountain ridge that lies adjacent to the Old City, we will be able to capture perfect snapshots of the 3,000 year old history of the city.
  • Then, to truly embrace the mystic aura of the city, we will walk through the Old City Gates, and find ourselves transported back in time. The narrow, winding streets will lead us from the quaint Armenian Quarter to the Christian Quarter.
  • Here, we will stop at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. This large sanctuary contains two of the faith's most holy sites. First, it is home to Calvary or Golgotha, the location where Christ was crucified. Second, the empty tomb of Jesus is also found within the confines of this church.
  • Our walk then takes us along the city's Western Wall to the Jewish Quarter. We then make our way to the Dome of the Rock, an Islamic Shrine. We continue down the narrow lanes of the Muslim Quarter, to perfectly round up our understanding of all three faiths that have found their home here.
  • Before we leave the Old City, we will make a visit to the markets and walk past colourful wares that run the gamut from historic antiques to modern day clothing.
  • Around the market area, we will also find a number of restaurants and food stalls, giving us a chance to tickle our taste buds with the sumptuous delights on sale.
  • En route, we will pass by the country's parliament house, which is known as the Knesset. Right opposite the main gate, we wil find the Knesset Menorah, which was gifted to the country by the British Government.
  • Our journey will also take us past the Government Enclave, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bank of Israel, Supreme Court of Israel, several other government buildings, and even the Prime Minister's office.
  • We will also see the Israel Museum, which stands atop a hill in Jerusalem's Givat Ram neighbourhood.
  • Apart from rare medieval manuscripts, this shrine is known for housing the oldest biblical manuscripts known to man, the Dead Sea Scrolls. After marvelling at the beauty of the museum.
  • We will head back to our hotel in the evening. You can choose to relax in your room, or put on your wandering boots and explore all that this city has to offer.
  • After an amazing journey, we will make it back to our beds with wonderful memories and hopes of a promising tomorrow.

Day 8:

Jerusalem - Tel Aviv

  • It's our last day together, so it's up to you to make every second of it count. We will pack our bags and head on to Tel Aviv, Israel's non-stop city.
  • Once we reach our hotel, check in and freshen up, we have the whole day to explore the city on our own. You can get a real feel of the town by embarking on a picturesque stroll down Rothschild Boulevard.
  • For a shopping experience unlike anything you've ever experienced before, we'd suggest a leisurely stroll through Carmel Market.
  • This busy market offers fruit, vegetables, fresh meat and fish to the hungry buyer. As you savour a bite of some delicious fruit, you'll hear locals around you haggling for the best possible price for their Shabbat necessities.
  • Of course, if you'd like nothing more than a relaxing day, you can head to Gordon Beach.
  • As you soak your toes in the glistening water, you'll be surrounded by locals and tourists alike who have come to get their daily dose of Vitamin Sea. If you're lucky, you may even spot a few people enjoying some Israeli folk dancing.

Day 9:

Depart Tel Aviv

  • Sadly, the time has come to bid this friendly country adieu.
  • If we have the time, we will take a few hours in the morning to enjoy as much of the capital as we can.
  • Alas, if the flight is in the morning, a bus will take us from the comfort of our hotel straight to the Ben Gurion Airport.
