The Kalka Shimla Railway line built in 1898, is a narrow gauge railway line located in Northern India. It passes through the Mountainous route from Kalka to Shimla, and goes through 107 tunnels & 864 bridges. It is definitely recommended for kids, and offers amazing views of the Himalayan range.
Hidimba Devi Temple
Hidimba or Hadimba Devi Temple is located in the Hill Town of Manali. It is dedicated to Hidimba Devi, the wife of Bhima, a character in the famous Indian Epic of Mahabharata. This structure was built over a huge rock jutting out of the ground, in the year 1553.
The Prashar Lake is located 50kms from Mandi, at a height of 2700m (8,900ft). Next to the lake is a three storeyed Pagoda-like Temple dedicated to the sage - Prashar. The Lake has deep blue waters, and is surrounded by the Himalayan Range on all sides. It is a frequented spot by trekkers, who usually camp near the lake taking in the Magnificent views around. The most unique thing about this lake is a patch of grass that floats from one end of the Lake to the other.
Located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, this lake is located at a height of 4,300m (14,100ft). It is 6kms from Gulaba and towards the Eastern side of the Rohtang Pass. It is named after the Maharishi Bhrigu, and is accessible by a trek starting from the Vashisht Village in Manali.
The Namgyal Monastery is the personal Monastery of the 14th Dalai Lama, and is located in McleodGanj, Dharamshala. The Monastery's key role is to assist with rituals involving the Great Dalai Lama.

The GNHP established in the year 1984 covers an area of approx 1171 sq km, at an altitude between 1,500 - 6,000 m. This park boasts of 375 fauna species, which includes approximately 31 mammals, 181 birds, 3 reptiles, 9 amphibians, 11 annelids, 17 mollusks and 127 insects. It is located next to the Tirthan Valley in Himachal Pradesh.
