Saturday: Trip to Mashobra from Shimla
After a long 9 hours 44 minutes bus journey, I finally arrived at Shimla bus stand at around 4 a.m. in the morning. I felt refreshed when I stepped down as the first breeze of air touched my face. I quickly hired a cab to reach Mashobra. It took nearly 35 minutes to reach Mashobra. Offbeat places gives unique experience that we never expected. Experience this feeling by Clicking Here!

A trip to the local villages
I started my first day exploring the local villages of Mashobra. If I have to describe the beauty of the surroundings, a paintbrush, a canvas, and a palette of colors will be perfect. The entire town is absolutely breathtaking covered by Oak, Himalayan Deodar, Rhododendron, and Pine trees with majestic mountain ranges in the backdrop. Numerous colorful thatched roofs resting on the greeneries and cone-shaped roof-tops peeking amidst the quiet surroundings made the entire area look heavenly. Most of the local village people here are the Pahari people speaking Pahari and Hindi language. The local culture here is very colorful with women wearing long knee length gowns and Salwar Kurta typically representing the Pahari culture. The people here make their living by agriculture and livestock. Rich Tradition, colourful culture…explore it by your own, You’ll feel great! Click Here, Then also You’ll Feel Great!
The weather was extremely cool and pleasant having frequent rainfalls. After each shower, the town seemed to be more vibrant just like a painted picture. I kept on capturing the beauty through my lens as long as I could. I literally couldn’t get enough of it.
I felt hungry after some time and decided to have my lunch. The food in Shimla is mostly North Indian cuisine and it was a delight to have some spicy food in the rainy weather. I enjoyed my lunch having grilled fish and Kullu trouts. Yummy…Don’t Believe Me. Come & Taste it by yourself. Click Here!
The entire day went perfect gasping Mashobra’s beauty at each turn. I ended my day trip by evening and returned to my hotel.
Sunday: Hike to Kufri
My second-day destination was Kufri which is a small paradise in Shimla and famous for trekking and hiking. It was raining outside, but I got so much engraved in nature’s beauty that I hardly could think of anything. You can also drive by cab to Kufri but I opted for hiking. I crossed numerous stunning locations on my hiking trail until I reached Kufri. The destination offered panoramic views of the surrounding in the chilled monsoon weather. Going to Kufri?? Hell Yes…Click Here!
Next, I visited Indira Tourist Park located nearby. The park has a famous coffee shop called “Café Lalit”. I decided to spend my evening there relaxing with a hot cappuccino and some delicious snacks. Hot Coffee in chilled environment .This is the Moment I can’t describe. You can feel that. That! I got drenched in rain miserably the entire day but I enjoyed my trekking to Kufri. I checked out from Mashobra on Sunday evening and came back to Shimla.
Monday: Trip to Mall Road and Christ Church
I started early in the morning with the beautiful Christ Church of Shimla.
The Church is a beautiful attraction among the picturesque backdrop of Shimla. It is an exemplary work of Neo-Gothic architecture dated back to 1857. The church is beautifully decorated with stained glass windows, a huge brass bell along with 5 tubular bells and an enormous seating arrangement of 630 people. I loved lighting a candle there and praying in the peaceful environment.Pay a visit to This Spiritual Yellow Building in Shimla by Just One Click Here!
After visiting Christ Church I went to the popular shopping destination of Shimla at the mall road.
The Mall Road
This is an amazing destination located at the heart of the Shimla. Surrounded by the mountain ranges the streets are lined up with numerous shopping centers, restaurants, banks, food stalls on either side. The area is also famous for numerous cafes serving delicious food housing two famous destinations-The Scandal Point and the Kali Bari. THIS is the “Place”! That’s it…From here, You can’t go anywhere because….You have to find it yourself.Click here!
I enjoyed exploring all of them and spent the entire morning and afternoon covering the best spots of Shimla.
Finally, my time was over, and I left for Delhi on Monday evening bidding goodbye to Shimla.
My trip was short but it says little things give you the best enjoyment. I too had the same exploring the beautiful town of Mashobra. So, Now your Turn to post a blog or Vlog, whatever fine with you….on any platform of Shimla & Offbeat places near it! Welcome to the Life Of Journeys.
